Zychron with Michael Dec

Zychron is a duel lead guitar focused band consisting of all three members of the Northwoods Improvisers and one member of Robert Bradley's Black Water Surprise. The band improvises with rock, blues and jazz forms often utilizing African and Eastern trance. Influences include Jimi Hendrix, Tinariwen, Peter Green and Sun Ra. The band also draws from where the tradition of improvisation meets psychedelia. Opening the evening will be Detroit guitarist Michael Dec. Dec is an accomplished improviser and experimentalist. Friend of Pere Ubu and pen pal of John Cage, Dec has collaborated with Troy Gregory and Jack Wright.
