Gilbert, a self-made rich person according to Forbes, owns the country's largest online mortgage lender (Quicken Loans, maybe you've heard of it) and recently launched Rocket Mortgage, an app to make the mortgage approval process even faster. He's known 'round these parts for buying up buildings in downtown Detroit and for his dislike of being criticized in the press.
