Just a handful of days ago, Detroit luminary emcee Elzhi had a release party at Funk Night for his much beloved new album, Elmatic. You should already know about this project because you've seen our stellar cover story on the connection between Elzhi and the Will Sessions band who were ingenious enough to recreate Nas' Illmatic album with all live instrumentation.
If you weren't able to make it out to Funk Night last Friday and missed the show, check out footage of El and Will Sessions ripping through a variety of songs from the Elmatic. Favorite moment comes at the 5:18 mark when a fanboy seems to lose his senses once Royce Da 5'9" walk on stage.
