It's been awhile since Slum Village alum T3 attempted to make a serious move in the national hip-hop arena. Ever since his former bandmate Elzhi left Slum Village and let it be known to the world why he felt so betrayed, T3 smartly decided to distance himself from the hip-hop public in general. Without getting into old beefs that deserve to be left in the past, T3 is clearly preparing to make a return and is gearing up to release a mixtape, Violator Radio, in just a couple of weeks on Halloween.
He's still hanging tough with former Barak Records in-house producer Young RJ and the two just dropped a solid new single a few days ago called "Dirty Mit." It's full of enough Detroit grittiness and crazy scenarios that it seems influenced by the stories in a Donald Goines novel. Considering that he was born and raised in Conant Gardens, T3 has always been adept at capturing the essence of street life and he does that well on this track. The production matches the lyricism perfectly and despite everything that T3's likely been through this year, it's good to see he's back at it again with Young RJ holding him up.
