Sheesh, it’s just like Christmas. We’re not quite done with festival season 2012 (the Ferndale DIY Street Fair is coming up this weekend), and already the dates for next year’s Movement Festival have been announced.

The festival will take place May 25-27 at Hart Plaza, Detroit. An opening reception will take place on Friday, May 24, 2013. The exact time and location have yet to be confirmed. Early-bird tickets will be available from November.

They say, “Fans are also welcomed to check out the Movement Event Series happening all year long, with performances by Bassnectar, Pretty Lights, MiMOSA and many more to be announced soon. Visit www.movement.us for all information, as well as ticket availability.

Hey, it never hurts to get ahead of the game. And what better way to lift the blues that comes with the end of the festival season than to start planning for the next one?
