City Slang: White Shag and the Luckouts to open big Static show

Static Records has announced that White Shag and the Luckouts will open for Japanese all-girl power trio Akabane Vulgars on Strong Bypass at the Corktown Tavern on Thursday, August 22.

They say, “The Akabane Vulgars on Strong Bypass made their Detroit debut last September on their U.S. "Return of King Zero" tour, this year they are back to promote their two new albums, "Proclamation" and the live release, "Live in Brooklyn." The band blew the local crowd away with their performance and promised to return to the Motor City again this year.”

The show starts at 9 p.m. and cover is $6.
