The Metro Times is looking to expand its team of freelance music writers.
In particular, we need writers available to us who know electronic music (all of the many genres and sub-genres), hip-hop/rap, and classical/opera. We need people who know the music inside out, and specifically the Detroit scene – the local hotspots and haunts, legends and newcomers.
Please send a cover letter telling us a little about yourself and why you’d like to write for us, plus a resume and at least three clips (blogs are fine) to me at firstname.lastname@example.org. If you want to write about Electronic music, please title the email “Electronic Music Freelance Writer Application,” and so on.
We welcome readers to submit letters regarding articles and content in Detroit Metro Times. Letters should be a minimum of 150 words, refer to content that has appeared on Detroit Metro Times, and must include the writer's full name, address, and phone number for verification purposes. No attachments will be considered. Writers of letters selected for publication will be notified via email. Letters may be edited and shortened for space.
Email us at email@example.com.
