Well, this looks like a lot of fun, and I'm not just saying that because I was invited to participate. Pitchfork is revitalizing its online radio station, and kicking off their new series of live broadcasts from Detroit next month. I do know that there are plans in place to get some really interesting special guests involved. We'll soon be talking soon to onetime resident and big-time Detroit supporter Ted Shumaker, who's producing the project, about the thing, OK!

Pitchfork Radio is back. From October 5-23, we're headed to Detroit. Presented by and powered by TuneIn, we're broadcasting live from Willys Detroit (located at 441 W Canfield St.)

Pitchfork Radio will welcome guest DJ sets and appearances from Protomartyr, Third Man Records, Ghostly International, Cassette Store Day DJs, (a tapes-only set), and many more. Station producer is Ted Shumaker and Trace Crutchfield will join as a host.

The station will once again feature shows from Pitchfork staffers, plus regular shows from Detroiters like Mike McGonigal (Metro Times), Greg Baise (MOCAD), Brian Allnutt (Detroit Farm and Garden), Wade Kergan (Hello Records), Tia Fletcher (Bumbo's), and others.

Follow the station on TuneIn before we start broadcasting live.
