Show preview: Nakatani Gong Orchestra this Sunday, Sep. 27 at Trinosophes

This week we learned of a unique show coming to Trinosophes this Sunday at 8 p.m.. There is an $8 suggested minimum donation to see the Nakatani Gong Orchestra.

The Jimi Hendrix of the gong, percussionist Tatsuya Nakatani, returns for another iteration of his large, all-gong ensemble. One of the great living percussion-players, Nakatani brings total focus and immense technique to everything he does. He will be joined at the gongs by an ensemble of approximately 10 Detroit improvisors, under his direction.
