October 19, 2015 (Cleveland, OH) – Smog Veil Records announces that Craig Bell, bass player for X__X and Rocket From The Tombs, has been published on Talkhouse today. His review of the new Protomartyr album is HERE.
Bell and X__X founding members John D Morton and Andrew Klimeyk are currently promoting their own new album titled, Albert Ayler’s Ghosts Live at the Yellow Ghetto. The record drops on November 20, 2015 and will be available in digital format as well as CD and vinyl LP. The LP version is on blue vinyl and contains Byron Coley liner notes.
Albert Ayler’s Ghosts Live at the Yellow Ghetto, was recorded August 2014 and January 2015 at Negative Space in Cleveland, OH and was produced by X__X and John Delzoppo (Fuck You Pay Me, Party Plates, Murderman). Moving forward the band includes Lamont Thomas (This Moment in Black History) on drums for live shows and touring. His own band OBNOX (debut, self-titled album out on Smog Veil) will be direct support for tour dates.
X__X has shared the stage with artists like Plastic Crimewave, Timmy's Organism, Home and Garden, Major Stars, Corn Mo, Gondoliers, Estrogen Highs, Stark Raving Lu Lu, The Gizmos, Cellular Chaos, Anderson/Hoffman/Chase, Blues Control and Silk Purse. CMJ New Music Monthly reviewed the band's live performance in New York last Fall and wrote "A reprise of No Non ¢s had the crowd howling for more. And during the set-ending anti-anthem Cleveland Sucks, even Morton, high priest of fuck you, couldn’t suppress a smile."
