How stoked are you for next weekend? From Thursday, 3/3-Sunday, 3/5, the Hamtramck Music Festival takes over our fair, vowel-impaired palace of booze and fun.

It’s not a question of if you're going to this grassroots affair, but rather which shows and which bands do you choose? We will soon be providing some guidelines in the form of a bunch of suggestions, not to mention a separate feature on Stef Chura, in next week's issue.

Caitlin Drinkard, featured this week, performs with the Drinkard Sisters at the fest. And something tells us Cold Men Young is going to have an amazing show.

HMF takes place at 25 venues (including the library), so many great performers, all playing to support a great cause (Ben’s Encore, which donates instruments to deserving youth). Free shuttles between venues are available.

Starts at 11 a.m.; 25 separate venues; hamtramckmusicfestival.com; Full weekend admission is just $10.
