It's hard to believe, but July is almost upon us and that means that Detroit's very own Mo Pop Festival is in clear sight.
With just a couple weeks to go, Mo Pop takes over the West Riverfront Park on Saturday, July 23 and Sunday, July 24, the festival announced its daily lineup along with new on-site experiences and some great VIP perks.
Playing Saturday of the festival is rapper G-Eazy, sister rock trio HAIM, indie rockers Glass Animals, indie pop and Michigan-native BØRNS, along with FIDLAR, Twin Peaks, Bishop Briggs, Alex G, Panama Wedding, Quilt, Coast Modern, and Tunde Olaniran.
On Sunday we have electronic band M83, folk band The Head and The Heart, indie pop duo Matt and Kim, folk crooner Father John Misty, Mac Demarco, Shakey Graves, Nothing But Thieves, Kaleo, Banners, Raury, Lewis Del Mar, and The Greeting Committee.
In case you can't make it for the whole weekend (boo!) then you can now purchase just a single day pass for $89.50 and $199 for VIP.
Speaking of VIP — Mo Pop also has added some cool perks for those who want the full Mo Pop royal treatment (why wouldn't you?). You'll get full access to the Pabst 1844 Lounge, re-entry into the festival, new expanded front-of-stage viewing, premium parking, and lots of cool Mo Pop swag and yummy cocktails and food. Also — air-conditioned bathroom trailers and complimentary massages from Citizen Yoga.
Pretty much you'll be living like a god damn Queen in VIP. We want in.
A slew of other experiences have been added to the festival like Heritage Guitars Music Experience, Credit Karma Arcade where you can play old school video games, Citizen Yoga open classes, temp tattoos from Ink Addict, plus a stacked Mo Tech lineup and beer from local breweries like ROAK and Rochester Mills.
