Paramore and Best Coast join forces at the Fox

It’s hard to believe it has been over 10 years since emo pop priestess Hayley Williams and Co. emerged as Paramore, known best for their catchy, candy-coated angst. This year, however, they’ve flipped the script and traded in their mosh pit for a dance floor on their fifth studio record After Laughter.
Channeling the likes of a “Stop Making Sense” era David Byrne and a “Rapture” -esque Blondie, Paramore has graduated from Hot Topic to just plain Haute. To magnify this contemporary transformation L.A indie pop duo Best Coast joins the bill.

The show is this Friday, Sept. 15. Doors open at 8 p.m at 2211 Woodward Ave., Detroit. For more info call 313-471-3200 or go to olympiaentertainment.com. Tickets start at $38.50.
