That “name a more iconic duo" meme can be put to rest because the search was over long before it started.

For nearly 50 years, Hall and Oates have been enchanting the masses as quite possibly the most iconic duo ever, and their songwriting sorcery cannot be rivaled by anyone.

OK, so that’s a pretty strong opinion, but let’s run it down —“Sara Smile," Maneater,” “Rich Girl,” “She’s Gone”, and “You Make My Dreams Come True”are but a sampling of the duo’s legendary contributions to the tapestry of pop music. If you feel differently, well, you are wildly “Out of Touch.”

Daryl Hall & John Oates wsg Train will perform at Little Caesars Arena on Sunday, May 20; Doors open at 7 p.m.; 2645 Woodward Ave., Detroit; 313-471-7000; 313presents.com; Tickets start at $49.50.
