If you fancy yourself a devout Detroit hip-hop aficionado, then you’re likely not sleeping on ZelooperZ — but if you are, now’s the time to wake the eff up. Billed as a ’70s-themed “dyn-o-myte” show, the eccentric member of Danny Brown’s Bruiser Brigade has enlisted Tiny Jag, Monalyse, Milfie, and Jaye Prime to perform for the release party of his latest record, Wildcard. A follow-up to A Piece of the Geto, ZelooperZ’s 2017 collaboration with Shigeto, Wildcard finds the eccentric rapper pushing his unconventional stream-of-consciousness style.

ZelooperZ's release show will take place at 8 p.m. on Sunday, May 12, at El Club; 4114 W. Vernor Hwy., Detroit; 313-279-7382; elclubdetroit.com. Tickets are $20-$25.
