36th African World Festival

Each year the African World Festival draws upwards of 150,000 attendees. To celebrate its 36th iteration, the festival returns to the grounds and interior of the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History as a free, three-day cultural event. The largest annual program hosted by the museum, African World boasts a wide array of live dance performances, poetry readings, and African drumming. Attendees can visit the Watoto Village and peruse the imported, handcrafted wares of 150-plus vendors, as well as taste their way through African cuisine with ethnic food offerings.
