Join us for an Girard-inspired conversation with legendary textile artist Ruth Adler Schnee and historian Deborah Lubera Kawsky. Ruth Adler Schnee graduated from Cranbrook Academy of Art in 1946 with a Master of Fine Arts in Design, one of the first women to achieve this distinction. She worked with Eero Saarinen and Minoru Yamasaki and still creates textiles with Knoll and Anzea Textiles Deborah Lubera Kawsky is Adjunct Associate Professor at Madonna University. Her book, Alexander Girard, Architect, focusing on Girard’s architecture and design work during his time in Detroit (1937-1953), will be published in 2018.
