When: Wed., April 19, 7 p.m. 2017
You might know the name Joel Fluent Greene. He’s the creator of a spoken word series called Mahogany at the museum — we featured it in this section last week. Now, Greene is working on a new series, one that touches the lives of just about everyone. This series is dedicated to those living with depression and is the first of four cornerstone events. Performances include the Gentlemen Poets of Mariners Inn, plus poetry from Greene, Lhea J. Love, Whitney Syphax Walker, Marcel Fable Price, and Deonte Osayande. Live art and music by Joe Harmon and DJ Equad, respectively, will also be featured.
