Abstract Painting Workshop

Artist Justin Bean will lead participants through a playful exploration of paint with the intention of creating abstract art. Using acrylic paints and palette knives, we will explore both wet-on-wet gestural painting and the use of a dry base layer to create texture and dramatic color combinations. In addition, we will introduce tape into the painting process to create layered compositions with increasing complexity and vibrancy. The end goal is for each participant to produce at least one frame worthy painting.
