When: Wed., Dec. 10, 7-9 p.m. 2014
Compare and contrast old world wines and new world wines-burgundies' famous grapes varieties Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. They will discuss how they are similar in creating intense, complex and long-lived wines and how they are distinctly different in history and their approach to wine making and style. The class will include a tasting of six wines. You will also sample wines of different price points to determine if the higher priced bottles are actually worth the added cost. A number of appropriate French and American cheeses will accompany the wines.
