When: Sat., June 17, 11 a.m. 2017
Alexander Girard, a former Grosse Pointe resident, will be celebrated during this summer-long exhibit of his works as an architect, interior designer, furniture designer, and industrial designer. Patrons of the Cranbrook Museum exhibit will get a taste of the colorful, joyful contributions the artist made to mid-century modernism. A debut retrospective of this great American designer will include access to furniture, textiles, patterns, graphics, sculptures, and designs never seen before. The exhibit will remain open until Oct. 8.
