Early press for the latest release by these Glaswegian indie pop stalwarts, Girls in Peacetime Want to Dance, claimed the band were influenced by early Detroit techno and Giorgio Moroder. While it’s doubtful you’ll confuse the new album with, say, Cybotron, the band has certainly added more of a dance groove to its signature saccharine-sweet, twee-as-fuck sound. Scottish two-piece Honeyblood join the bill.
