Open just five years, Sava's has quickly become a favorite for its breakfasts. It's likely thanks to the casual setting, breakfast service from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. for sleepy-headed scholars, and the way typical breakfast items are given a bit of extra pizzazz, such as huevos rancheros with fire-roasted corn tortillas, French toast made from a deep-fried brioche, sausage and eggs made using apple-maple chicken links from Corridor Sausage Co. (with date ketchup, no less). The Sunday brunch buffets ($19 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.) can feature such creative items as house-made pop tarts.
