Lots of places along the Nautical Mile have outdoor patios, but only Jack’s has a second-floor patio with all the amenities. It should be open full-time in May, when it will host dinner service until 8 p.m., with DJs starting up a night of music and dancing nightly at 9 p.m. The upper tier is half-covered and enclosed by glass railings, seating 85 at umbrella-topped tables during dinner, and 100 during parties. Fire pits help ward off chills and on clear days you can see not just Canada but Gull Island. On some nights, people will wait as long as two hours just for a seat up there.
