This photo exhibition features visual essays that span from the 1970s to the present, taking the viewer to neighborhoods like Poletown, Mexicantown, Southwest Detroit, the Cass Corridor, and beyond. Three of the four featured artists — Carlos Diaz, Bruce Harkness, and Tom Stoye — were all students of Kresge Eminent Artist Bill Rauhauser, one of the Motor City’s most famous street photgraphers. The fourth, self-taught artist Brian Day, has a mysterious, sci-fi influence to his photos. The show is on view at the Alfred Berkowitz Gallery at the University of Michigan-Dearborn’s Mardigian Library. This event runs though March 13.
