A retrospective of sorts, this exhibition features the work of 92-year-old artist Charles McGee and his 70-year-long career. The array of work showcases his more frequent themes including his efforts to chronicle the black experience and his love of nature. The artist has worked across mediums from charcoal to photography to avant-garde, three-dimensional, and multimedia pieces. The exhibit coincides with McGee’s outdoor mural, "Unity,"(which measures 118 feet and six inches by 50 feet and nine inches) an addition to a new 13-story loft building in downtown Detroit. This exhibit is free and open to the public.
