When: Sat., June 10, 2 p.m. 2017
This family-friendly event invites locals to enjoy the pleasantries of the bygone era of rock 'n' roll when one could roll out a blanket on a grassy knoll and enjoy free live music in the warmth of the summer sun — the days in which Birmingham-based music mag Creem thrived. The opening of the permanent Creem, Revisited exhibit will be celebrated with appearances by former Creem writers as well as J.J. Kramer, son of Creem founder Barry Kramer. There will be refreshments and live outdoor performances by Acoustic Madness and East Side Story.
Price: $7 for adults 18 to 65; $5 for 65 and older; children 5 and younger are free
