Detail: Book sees collaboration with Boggs School students and novelist Dave Eggers

A collection of original, funny stories from 14 students between the ages of 6 and 10 that supports a good cause, Where Is This Coming From? is the result of a collaboration between students at the James and Grace Lee Boggs School and novelist Dave Eggers. The book dates back to May 2014, when Eggers visited the after-school writing program of 826Michigan, a tutoring program that offers free writing lessons to students in Detroit, Ypsilanti, and Ann Arbor, founded by Eggers. Eggers asked to illustrate the children's stories following the reading. The book, as described on the 826Michigan website, is "as sweet and engaging as the students themselves." Proceeds from the book support 826Michigan, as well as the Boggs School.
