It is the summer of 1967 in Detroit where outside, the sun-baked streets sizzle in the heat, but the rhythm of Motown keeps a cool, steady beat as sister and brother, Michelle and Langston, make ends meet in their basement blind pig. But trouble is brewing, and when a nearby police raid sparks a riot, their lives and the life of their city changes forever.
