When: Sat., Sept. 30, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. 2017
Daughter of the Midwest and Cleveland native Becki Silverstein started this craft fair in 2011 while looking for a way to promote her own handmade business. Sure, metro Detroit’s got plenty of these vendor-based events, but that doesn’t make this baby any less worthy of your time (and $3 admission fee). You’ll catch up with local artists and have the chance to pick up a couple super cool Christmas gifts — you’re not going to find anything like this stuff at the mall on Dec. 23. Some of the proceeds will go toward Paws for Life Animal Rescue, so you can feel good about helping a local nonprofit while you’re shopping.
Show runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; 28600 11 Mile Rd., Farmington Hills; avantgardeshows.com; Admission is $3.
