The Detroit Public Library Author Series presents Damon Young. One of the most closely followed writers about race, class, and gender of our generation, Damon Young has been praised by Ava DuVernay as "one of our best thinkers", and by Michael Eric Dyson as an "antidote to what ails this nation." He will be at the library discussing his first book, "What Doesn't Kill You Makes You Blacker: A Memoir in Essays." Question and answer session and book signing at the end of the discussion.
