When: Sun., April 26, 3-4 p.m. 2020
Following his exciting appointment earlier this year, Detroit Symphony Orchestra Music Director, Jader Bignamini, will host a virtual watch party with music fans of the DSO both locally and from around the world. Social distancing doesn’t have to leave fans feeling totally disconnected from the sounds of Orchestra Hall. Sunday’s watch party is just one of a series of events designed to bring the joy of music into the homes of DSO fans and the broader community during this unprecedented time. These watch parties, hosted by DSO musicians, give viewers the ability to interact with the talented and dedicated performers who bring the music to life within Orchestra Hall. Bignamini will offer thoughtful insights regarding the composition of the symphony and shed light on the preparation required to master it alongside his fellow DSO musicians. Additionally, Bignamini will answer questions from fans regarding the performance and his recent permanent appointment to the position of Music Director.
