In another explosive show, high energy German scientist Doktor Kaboom! has unbridled enthusiasm for science that he loves to share in this fun and funny exploration of electricity. He pulls young audience members into each “experiment” as helpers exploring Tesla Coils, Van de Graaf generators, and even a ping pong shooting robot. Laugh along as Doktor Kaboom!, in his steampunk goggles and orange lab coat, explains everything from voltage and current, to charges, conservation of energy, and plasma. Commissioned by The Kennedy Center. Great for all ages, though recommended for kids 6–16. Doktor Kaboom! is the brainchild of comedian and actor David Epley, a man who believes science is for everyone and is better shared in ways that inform and entertain. With audience participation and improv, no two shows are alike, and many kids have asked their parents to stay for the second show. For 20 years, Doktor Kaboom! has combined his passions for writing, performing and directing original material with his training at the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics. David is a proud dad living in Seattle who tours internationally.
