Dream Deferred: Detroit 1967

When: Fri., July 14, 8 p.m. and Sat., July 15, 8 p.m. 2017

In the spirit of the onslaught of ruminations, reflections, exhibits, and films exploring the summer of 1967 in Detroit, this stage production explores the formative moment in history that happened 50 years ago. Dream Deferred: Detroit 1967 is an original production created based on interview recordings of Dr. Xavier Nicholas, and it promises to “gives voice to the unique experiences and perspectives of a cross-section of Detroiters to find out what really happened and how we can learn from the pain of our shared past.” Originally scheduled for June performances only, these two dates will be your last chance to see this production live at the Matrix Theatre.

Price: $20
