Learn more about the life and work of Jean-Michel Basquiat, currently featured in our current exhibitions, in this documentary film by Director Tamra Davis. Davis pays homage to one of the well-known American artists whose neo-expressionist and primitivist work was being displayed in galleries and museums internationally by the 1980s. Jean-Michel Basquiat: The Radiant Child explores Basquiat's life and work through insider interviews, archival footage, and the artist's own words. Film screenings are held in Cranbrook Art Museum’s deSalle Auditorium, are free to ArtMembers and all students with identification (and included with Museum admission for the general public)!
