Free Radicals: A Symposium

Please join us as we explore the ideas and ideals of a radical counterculture as part of the exhibition, "Hippie Modernism: The Struggle for Utopia." Speakers include: Andrew Blauvelt, curator of the exhibition and Director of the Cranbrook Art Museum. Esther Choi writes about the intersections between architecture and the visual arts. Lorraine Wild, designer, educator, historian, Cranbrook Academy graduate, and catalogue essayist. Richard Newman and Liza Bielby of The Hinterlands, Detroit-based artists who will discuss their critically acclaimed performance, “The Radicalization Process.”
