Detroiters, your support is sorely needed. Two churches on opposite sides of the Detroit River are in danger. One church, the historic Assumption Church of Windsor is in immediate danger of being closed due to the unaffordable cost of repairs. The other church, the Ste. Anne de Détroit (the second oldest Catholic parish in the country), also needs funds for repairs and building upkeep. If you choose to support via this event, you’ll receive a tour of Ste. Anne, a Christmas concert by the Francophone Chorale du Tricentainnaire de Windsor, and a French Canadian dinner that comes coupled with a talk by Bill Loomis, author of Detroit's Delectable Past: Two Centuries of Frog Legs, Pigeon Pie and Drugstore Whiskey and Detroit Food: Coney Dogs to Farmers Markets.
