There was a time in the ’90s when Brooks, country singer and star, was a god. Then he took on the identity of an emo alter ego, Chris Gaines, and everyone was like, “What’s going on?” Thankfully, he experienced approximately no success as a rock singer and quickly returned to his country roots. Now, he’s performing six shows on four different nights at Joe Louis Arena. Great, now we have “The Thunder Rolls,” stuck in our head.
