Global Fridays: SINKANE (funk/rock)+youth workshop

Ahmed Abdullahi Gallab, aka Sinkane, uses a disciplined mind and an artistic heart to unite rhythms and styles from his native Sudan with East and West African influences. The universal soul music – stylistically nostalgic and simultaneously ultramodern – urges audiences to move, relate and be joining Gallab are bandmates Jaytram, Ish Montgomery, Jonny Lam, Elenna Canlas, and Amanda Khiri as they tour in support of their latest release, Life & Livin’ It. At 6:30 p.m. Gallab leads a youth workshop on art and identity. Presented in partnership with Take on Hate.
