Interstate Arts presents Good Bones, an outdoor multimedia shadow puppet performance celebrating everyday stories of perseverance and evolution connected by one Detroit building: the Sophie Wright Settlement House, current home to the James and Grace Lee Boggs School. See oral histories of neighbors illustrated by innovative puppetry and animation, performed live on the building facade. Think drive-in movie minus the cars. A unique all-ages experience not to be missed. Directed by Interstate Arts founder Shoshanna Utchenik, supported by the Knight Arts Challenge. Free and open to the public. Reservations through Eventbrite are recommended, but walk-ups are welcome.
