When: Fri., June 17, 6 p.m. 2016
Centered somewhat around the phrase made popular by Timothy Leary — “Turn on, tune in, drop out,” — this exhibition explores the evolution that took place during the 1960s and ’70s that spanned the pharmacological, technological, and spiritual consciousness and the way it altered our collective perception of reality. If that sounds like a doozy, just think of it this way: It’s a showcase of artworks and artifacts from the revolutionary era whence the hippie lived. There will be experimental furniture, alternative living structures, immersive and participatory media environments, alternative publishing and ephemera, and experimental film.
