Horoscopes (Feb. 4 - 10)

ARIES (March 21-April 20): At this point it comes down to how much you can handle. With enough fire to get anything moving, you don't know for sure if you care enough to make it worth your while to rise above all of this and be redeemed by it. If that sounds dramatic, your life is always that way. Next to the whipping post, endless possibilities simmer, waiting for you to dip your toe. As you ponder life-and-death matters, the ones that keep you alive are about to require more from you than you ever imagined. Keep the light on. Your heart is full of it. Don't let it go out at a time like this.

TAURUS (April 21-May 20): More than your share of external pressure has either strengthened you, or is starting to make you wonder why it's your job to handle this. Looking at the facts and weighing them against what you thought would happen, if you're ready to walk off the set I wouldn't be surprised. Any hesitation on your part has something to do with the "money card." However that plays out in your version of reality, this is a huge checkpoint. And the fine line between what we think is going to do it for us, and the gate of fulfillment lies in knowing how to want what money can't buy.

GEMINI (May 21-June 20): You can run circles around everyone in the room. This ability has been cultivated over years of finding yourself in situations that have required you to think on your feet. In your current situation, the feeling that every base has got to be covered has got you running around trying to figure out how to please people. This will be easier for some of you than it will be for others. By the time you read this more than one ax will fall, and it will take two more weeks for the truth to come out in the wash. Coming to terms with things will require radical moves on your part.

CANCER (June 21-July 20): As you get closer to the line, you're feeling restless about what will happen once you cross it. Underneath all of our future plans, the truth is, when it's time for life to change, you have very little to say about what happens next. Depending on your age, there are questions that range from the belief in the need to settle down to beliefs that tell you it's time to get back to who you were before this routine got the best of you. Your next move is a heartbeat away, waiting under the wings of synchronicity. You will know exactly where to go and what to do when the time comes.

LEO (July 21-Aug. 20): The importance of what's going on right now is not lost on you. You could write a book! The dream come true, or the thing that you thought was what was needed for your life to work, recently flew in the window. Along with it, came a whole new raft of issues that you were totally unprepared for. In the midst of trying to regain your balance, others keep pulling you off center by taking things personally and expecting you to drop everything and return to your former self. You don't have time to accommodate anyone who can't enter fully into these changes with you.

VIRGO (Aug. 21-Sept. 20): Don't be in a huge rush to do anything but stay as real as you can about all of this. You go back and forth between total openness and complete detachment. It doesn't matter if it's people or a situation that keeps you blowing hot and cold. The back-and-forth-ness of things could be more quickly solved if the lines of communication were clear. You don't want to say too much, but at the same time you're afraid to say too little. Now you find yourself caught in the dilemma that all control freaks face when they try to let things be. Go with the flow? Give it a whirl. Best of luck.

LIBRA (Sept. 21-Oct. 20): After a lot of pressure that has been steady or turbulent, you're ready for something to change. With so much riding your back, the need to stay simple and focused is where it's at right now. This sounds so easy, but as far as you are concerned, it's the last thing you want to hear. You'd just as soon keep things lit up like a torch so that you can continue to enlighten your illusions with the belief that they have substance. The next few weeks will hold themes that drive your thoughts to come back to Earth and try to consider what really lies beating at the heart of things.

SCORPIO (Oct. 21-Nov. 20): Walking the fine line between faith and uncertainty has you wondering if you can trust people as far as you can throw them. It's nearly impossible to know for sure what's really going on. You don't have enough information to make any clear judgment, and there's so much old business screwing up your perspective, half the time you don't even know what you're looking at. Haul back and return to the place that feels grounded enough to handle anything. From that vantage point, you will be able to cut through the BS and figure out whether it's time to fish or cut bait.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 21-Dec. 20): The line between truth and hypocrisy is where you find yourself. Any time there's anything wrong with this picture, depending on the way you deal with yourself, the need to be right all the time can make it hard for you to see the truth. At the moment there are 1,001 things nipping at your heels. Solving every problem would be a cinch if you could see far enough into the situation to know that these things serve as a distraction. How much longer you use this MO is your business, but the need to gloss things over stopped working for you ages ago.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 21-Jan. 20): Too many mistakes have been glossed over for any of this to work. What started to come apart two or three years ago has been saddled with issues and agendas that had nothing to do with you. As you try to make it all OK you run the risk of going from bad to worse. Turning things around may involve getting off the train, or getting off your high horse long enough to see what you did to yourself, or, what got done in your name. As all of the chickens come home to roost, this mess you're in will clear up in ways that amaze you, and give your life a chance to work.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 21-Feb. 20): Extended periods of tension are always challenging us to wonder why we have to grin and bear it. Even if you've made peace with this aspect of your experience, in cycles you have to face the fact that it doesn't have to be this hard. Stepping back far enough you will see that it is less about your situation than it is about your beliefs that has orphaned you to certain things. Out here in the cold, the warmth of friendship is what's needed now. Other forms of closeness might do the trick, but only if the people involved love you enough to hear you out and let you be yourself.

PISCES (Feb. 21-March 20): You've found a way to reconcile whatever the story is with the way you need to feel about it. For the time being you are clear and that's what matters most. As you come to terms with recent choices be open to the fact that nothing is certain. Random variables that include illness, passivity, deception, and other hard-to-pin-down issues tell me you are in no-man's-land. On shaky ground, with no clue as to what the rules are in this neighborhood, nothing is stable. How long it takes for others to wake up and get real is hard to say. Sooner or later, you will heal this.
