The University of Michigan Ann Arbor NAACP Chapter presents ‘If Detroit were Heaven.’ ‘If Detroit were Heaven’ is a theatrical presentation by hip-hop artist and Detroit advocate Khary WAE Frazier. Through the use of hip-hop lyrics Frazier explores his relationships with his father Greg Frazier CPA, Civil Rights Leader and Attorney Milton Henry, Grandmother Mary Lee Brown, and Focus: HOPE founder Eleanor Josaitis. Frazier’s personal relationships with these figures relay a story of creativity, commitment, and courage throughout Detroit’s Black community.
