When: Sun., Sept. 14, 6 p.m. 2014
Itzhak Perlman performs as part of the Choral Union Series. Perlman first came to New York as a teenager and was quickly recognized after his appearance on the “Ed Sullivan Show” in the late 1950s. He attended The Juilliard School and has established himself as a cultural icon and a household name in classical music. Over the past decade, he has become increasingly devoted to both conducting and to music education, but it is as a recitalist that Ann Arbor audiences know him best, with 10 UMS concerts since his debut in 1970. September 14th, Perlman performs pieces by Bach, Franck and Ravel.
