Joke of the week

Readers of this column know that on rare occasions we attempt to inject a bit of humor into our reporting of murder, mayhem, environmental degradation, social injustice, rampant racism, governmental corruption. etc. We think it helps to keep things light. In that vein, we’d like to offer up what we consider to be the week’s biggest joke: George W. Bush’s tax plan.

Hoo-wheee, George! Cut it out, pal. Yer killin’ us with this stuff. When ya get billionaires like Warren Buffett criticizing your plan to eliminate the estate tax, you have to know this absurdist bit of yours has gone way over the line. What’s next, rasslin’ women?
