Katy Perry

When: Wed., Dec. 6, 7 p.m. 2017

No one is probably as shocked by teenage dream-turned-pop queen Katy Perry’s candy-colored ascent to stardom as Perry herself, a journey that has taken her from church girl to kissing girls to sexual romps with aliens. It is perhaps Perry’s 2017 self-proclaimed “purposeful-pop” record Witness, though, that has garnered the most attention (mostly for being a totally catchy catastrophe). Whether you find Perry’s sugary pop insufferable or totally toothsome, she has pulled out all the stops for her live show — which features puppetry, latex, larger-than-life basketball hoops, game dice, Venus flytraps, and of course, enough pyrotechnics to outshine the Fourth of July.
