When: Sundays, 6-8 p.m. Continues through March 25 2018
This 2 part class focuses on breaking down the kayak roll. We start with controlling the kayak with your body by using your hips, knees and core, then add sweeping the paddle to achieve a successful roll . Finally, we put all the pieces together and fine tune things 1-on-1 with the assistance of the instructor. Rolling is easy to do physically, but it is difficult to learn initially. Some people will achieve a working roll by the end of this class, but most people won’t learn the roll in their first class.
