“Lady Day,” as Billie Holiday was called, performs at a 1959 Philadelphia night club, just months before her untimely death. Holiday during this performance recounts her tumultuous life in between performing 14 of her well-known songs, including “Strange Fruit,” “What a Little Moonlight Can Do,” “God Bless the Child,” and “T’aint Nobody’s Business If I Do.” Furthermore, to immerse patrons in a bona fide night club experience, there is limited option of onstage seating. This show is rated M; estimated 90 minutes with no interruptions.
