In the Syrian fight for freedom and democracy, there are many stories to be told. Little Gandhi is one such story, about Syrian peace activist Ghiyath Matar. With his strict code of nonviolent protest, Matar’s story received international attention when his journey was met with tragic consequences. Directed by award-winning metro Detroiter Sam Kadi, the film, released in March, is sure to open your mind about Syria’s plight. Kadi will be part of a Q&A session after the film. Starts at 7 p.m.; 5200 Woodward Ave., Detroit; 313-833-7900; dia.org; tickets are $11.
