"Lost Cultural Venues of Detroit: Social Spaces and Playgrounds." At the Library of the University of Detroit Mercy, McNichols Campus. June 15 to September 10, 2016 Detroiters once gathered together for music, lectures, poetry, cinema, dancing at venues which are now lost. These included the Graystone Ballroom, Danceland, the Vanity Ballroom, Cobb’s Corner, Alvin’s, the Art Center Music School, the Minor Key, the Grande, Zoots, the Freezer Theatre, the Gold Dollar Show Bar, the Fourth Street Fair, the Grinning Duck Club and many more. Some have been demolished, some sit empty and others are now being used for other purposes.
